Becoming a mother is one of the most life-changing experiences a woman can go through. From the moment we know we are expecting a baby to arrive, our whole outlook on life changes and our sudden protectiveness can surprise us!
Motherhood is both crazy and beautiful at the same time. It can be a time of self-reflection, a growth of our soul, and both a challenging and wonderful journey as we learn about our baby and their little personality as they grow.
Motherhood sessions aim to offer you and your baby a safe and warm space to just be. Just the two of you, together, whilst I capture the love you share and the little details of your baby. I aim to keep these portraits as authentic as possible, so you simply go about your normal routine of feeding, cuddling and play-time whilst I dance around you with my camera and gently give small directions. These sessions are also the perfect way for breastfeeding Mums to celebrate their feeding journey.
Motherhood sessions include single portraits of your baby and can also be combined with sibling and family portraits. However, I recommend that other family members join Mum at the beginning or end of the session to give you and bub some special quiet time together.
Motherhood sessions are intended to have a slow and gentle pace, ensuring you take a rest when needed and also making sure you keep hydrated and comfortable.
Motherhood sessions also include pregnancy portraits. Pregnancy is such a special and beautiful time, and once bub is born these memories fade so quickly. So why not capture and preserve your pregnancy memories also?! It is ideal to have your professional maternity photos taken between 30-35 weeks so you can enjoy the experience rather than just wanting to sit on the couch! You are welcome to bring your partner along and have them and other children involved in your maternity photographs.
